Delete account

You can erase your VestraPet account at any time. This is irreversible: every pet profile, timeline event and uploaded document is purged within 30 days, with backups rotated out within 90.

What gets deleted

• Your account record (email, profile, preferences).
• Every pet profile linked to your account.
• All timeline events, training logs, vaccinations, triage results, medications.
• All uploaded documents and images.
• All notification subscriptions.

What we keep (and why)

• Anonymised aggregate diagnostics already used to improve the service — these contain no identifying fields.
• Records we are legally required to retain (e.g. transaction receipts for tax purposes), kept only as long as the law requires.

How to delete

In the app: Profile → Legal & support → Delete account. You will be asked to type your email to confirm. The deletion is queued immediately; final purge completes within 30 days.

Subscriptions

Active App Store / Google Play subscriptions are not automatically cancelled by account deletion. Please cancel them via your store account first to avoid further billing.

What happens to my pet's wallet pass?

Issued passes remain on the device that holds them but cannot be updated after deletion. Your pet's emergency page (vestrapet.com/e/<id>) returns 410 Gone.

If you change your mind

You have a 7-day grace window after submitting the request. Reply to the confirmation email within that window and we will cancel the deletion. After 7 days, recovery is not possible.
