Terms of service

Short version: use VestraPet reasonably, don't try to break it, and understand that it is a triage companion, not a veterinarian. The formal terms follow.

1. The service

VestraPet provides a health dossier, visual triage, nearby-vet radar, digital passport, wallet pass and companion community for pet owners. Features are described in the app and on this website. The service may evolve; we will flag breaking changes in advance.

2. Not a medical diagnosis

VestraPet is not a veterinarian. Visual triage outputs are suggestions and not diagnoses. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for any clinical decision. In an emergency, contact your local veterinary hospital immediately.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
You must be of legal age in your country to operate an account.
One human, one account. You may add multiple pet profiles under a single account.

4. Your content

You retain full ownership of everything you upload — pet photos, vaccination records, timeline events. You grant VestraPet a limited licence to process this content strictly for the purpose of operating the service for you. We do not publish, sell, or syndicate it.

5. Prohibited use

Impersonation, harassment or spam in the community surfaces.
Reverse engineering the app in ways that circumvent access control.
Automated mass scraping of the triage endpoints. The triage pipeline is rate-limited per account; exceeding published limits will result in throttling or suspension.
Using VestraPet to build a competing veterinary-advice product.

6. Subscriptions & billing

VestraPet offers monthly, annual and lifetime plans. Pricing is shown in the app prior to purchase.
Billing is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Cancel, pause or manage your subscription through your store account.
Refunds follow Apple and Google store policy. We do not process refunds directly.
Lifetime plans remain active for the lifetime of the service offering. If VestraPet ceases operations, lifetime plan holders receive a prorated refund of the fair remaining value.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via /delete-account. We may suspend an account that violates these terms, after reasonable notice where possible.

8. Warranty & liability

VestraPet is provided on an "as is" basis, with the warranties required by law and no more. To the maximum extent permitted by law, VestraPet's liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email at least 30 days before taking effect, where reasonably possible.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction of VestraPet's registered entity, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer protection laws in your country still apply.
